Red Square Maps are Just About to Get  Even Better

The most advanced Mapping solution for the Property Industry just got better. Anyone who has used our Mapping solution would appreciate just how good it is, ask our competition and they will even agree.

As a commitment to our Members and clients, EAC is continually looking at ways to enhance the services that we provide. As a result we are happy to announce we will be releasing an upgrade to our mapping service next week that will see us move to Google as the source of our aerial and satellite imagery. When we originally developed the current mapping solution it was not technically possible to use Google as the Aerial layer within the Mapping so we had been utilising Bing Maps until recently. While Bing have recently performed an upgrade our research has found that Google was the better option across the majority of the state and thus took steps to implement Google into our mapping solution.

You may have noticed in some areas  the alignment between the boundaries and aerial imagery is out and while we line them up correctly there can be some subtle differences. Once again, in providing the best possible service, we can now make adjustments so the two layers should line up as closely as we can possibly get them. If you find any alignment issues after the update please contact Red Square support on 1300 137 161 and advise them of the specific area effected.

The upgrade is scheduled to take place next week and you will be able to tell it has taken place when the aerial layer of the maps has the Google watermark appear instead of Bing.

EAC currently utilise Google Maps in Red Square Web, realestateworld.com.au and the websites we develop for Agents, so it is also logical that we utilise the same data source for our Mapping service.

The future releases of Red Square Mobile and the soon to be released realestateworld.com.au and Agent mobile sites will also utilise Google.
